Two years ago I first saw the Aurora Borealis, and it not only got me hooked on this particular phenomenon, but has revitalized my interest in photography and sparked a lot of adventures. This picture here is from a stormy night in Jasper Nationalpark in November 2015. Things started off rather quiet at Pyramid Lake in Jasper and clouds were rolling in, so we decided to head further east towards Hinton. Arriving at Talbot Lake the clouds were breaking and the lights were exploding. We explored a bit, it was so bright, you could easily see around. I found this little pond here, and with ice that was forming already it was a super mysterious atmosphere. The raging wind added to that and it was just a clash of the elements.
